Menyebabkan kerugian dlm bentuk:

2. Penurunan berat badan Morbiditi – 40% Mortaliti – 5% Dewasa – bentuk pneumonia Anak – bentuk septicaemia AETIOLOGI Pasteurella haemolytica Pasteurella multocida
CARA JANGKITAN
1. Pernafasan – menyedut udara tercemar

wow mata wang aussie semangkin meningkat naik pada aras $ 3.2+. Tapi keperluan pengunaan daging kambing masih diperlukan. Memandangan Malaysia masih kekurangan kambing terutamanya kambing untuk sembeliahan Jantan. Nak tak nak kena juga import kambing dari Negara luar. Mana-mana yg masih mengangur tu cuba-cuba lah berjinak-jinak dengan Industri ternakan kambing atau pun bebiri.

New Protocol for DVS Malaysia Ex Australia Livestock
Attached new draft protocols, for sure livestock coming in to Malaysia will face significant increase in dollar terms due to the below· New Quarantine Regulations in Australia and Malaysia· New blood tests for Hendra Virus· Government Declarations and on farm Testing· Fumigation regulations on fodder· Depot in Australia to be approved by AQIS · Quarantine periods for Malaysian Importers Based on the implications, Any signs of positive tests, all stock will be destroyed, which can result in massive losses for the clients. The industry will foresee rapid changes, where only the true professionals will be needed in handling and sourcing of livestock for export. It is also important that the Exporter is of integrity, where they source from region free declared areas of viruses, and actually perform such tests needed. It is also important the Malaysian Importer has valid Approved Permits and the capacity to deal with Quarantine Periods for livestock entering Malaysia. We are pleased to say, Australian Livestock Logistics has approved AQIS Quarantine Depots, and our Malaysian company having own in house holding yards at 2 locations with Approved Permits. REGULATIONS FOR THE IMPORTATION OF GOATS OR SHEEP FROM
AUSTRALIA INTO MALAYSIA
A. Animals : Goats/Sheep
B. Country of Export : Australia
C. Purpose : Breeding
D. Regulations for importation :
1. Import license
The consignment of animals shall be accompanied by a valid import license issued by the Director General of Veterinary Services Malaysia or State Director concerned permitting the importation of such animals into the State(s) of Malaysia.
2. Description of Animals
The consignment of animals shall be accompanied by a certificate containing a full description or identification of the animals.
3. Veterinary Certification
The consignment of animals shall be accompanied by a veterinary health certificate issued by a competent veterinary officer of the Government Veterinary Authority (AQIS, Australia) certifying that :-
3.1 Australia has been free from Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), rinderpest, peste des petits ruminant, contagious bovine and caprine pleuropneumonia, sheep pox and goats pox, rabies, brucellosis, tuberculosis, enzootic abortion, ovian pulmonary adenomatosis, contagious agalactia, scrapie and BSE for the past twelve (12) months prior to export.
3.2 The animals originated from an area or farm that has been free from caprine and ovine brucellosis, leptospirosis, campylobacteriosis, melioidosis, toxoplasmosis, Johne's disease and blue tongue for the past six (6) months prior to export. There has been no case of these diseases occurred or diagnosed on the farm of origin during the preceding 6 months before export.
3.3 The animals originated from an establishment or farm, where no case of Hendra virus has occurred during the last six (6) months prior to export.
3.4 The animals originated from establishment or farm approved to export by AQIS and have been subjected for the following measures ;
a. Laboratory Test
3.4.1 B. ovis and B. melitensis using the CFT or ELISA test, with negative results within one (1) month of the date of export.
3.4.2 Johne’s disease using the CFT or AGID or ELISA test, with negative results within (1) month of the date of export.
b. Treatment
3.4.3 The animals have been treated with intramuscular injection of long acting oxytetracycline at a dose rate of 20mg/kg body weight within seven (7) days of the date of export.
3.4.4 The animals have been treated with a broad spectrum anthelmintic and treated free of all ectoparasites including ticks within seven (7) days of the date of export.
c. Vaccination
3.4.5 The animals have been vaccinated against enterotoxemia, black leg and tetanus.
3.5 The animals have been clinically examined for CLA, including by palpation and found to be negative.
3.6 The animals have been examined and found to be healthy and free from any sign of infectious or contagious disease at time of export.
4. Transportation
4.1 The consignment of sheep and goats shall be carried by ship or aircraft direct from the port or airport of embarkation in the exporting country (Australia) to the prescribed port or airport in Malaysia. No stop over is permitted.
4.2 No other ruminants or swine were permitted on board the ship or aircraft during the time on which the consignment of sheep and goats were carried.
4.3 No fodder or animal feeds were taken on board the ship or aircraft at any intermediate port or airport, except the one that are originated from the exporting country for the purpose of feeding the animals. All fodder or bedding have been properly fumigated before begin taken on board the ship or aircraft. The fumigation was done according to the standard set by the veterinary authority of the exporting country (AQIS Australia) using the approved fumigates.
5. Arrival in Malaysia
5.1 On arrival at the prescribed port or airport in Malaysia, all official documents (original hard copy) under each import consignment must be surrendered to the DVS officer in-charged or the DVS officer who examine and handle the clearance of animals.
5.2 All animals in the consignment must be discharged within four (4) days upon arrival at the prescribed port or airport in Malaysia. The animals must be transported direct to the approved quarantine station under supervision of the Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysia.
6. Quarantine in Malaysia
6.1 The animals shall be placed in an approved quarantine station where the animals will be subjected to a laboratortest for detection of antibody against Hendra virus until the negative result detected.
6.2 In case positive result is detected, all animals in the consignment will be destroyed.
7. Suspension of Import
The Director General or State Director may at any time when deem necessary to suspend importations from Australia either temporarily or permanently in the event of disease outbreaks or suspected disease outbreaks in Australia or in case of importation in contravention of the above regulations.
8. Right to Amend Import Regulations
The Director General shall amend the above regulations and the fees below at any time, as he may deem necessary.

3.3 The animals were treated with dihydrostreptomycin at dosage of 20mg/kg liveweight within 7 days of export.
3.4 The animals were dewormed and treated free from all internal and external parasites within 7 days of export.
4. Transportation
4.1 No other ruminants or swine were permitted on board the ship or aircraft during the time on which the consignment of sheep and goats were carried.
4.2 No fodder or animal feeds were taken on board the ship or aircraft at any intermediate port or airport, except the one that are originated from the exporting country for the purpose of feeding the animals. All fodder or bedding have been properly fumigated before begin taken on board the ship or aircraft. The fumigation was done according to the standard set by the veterinary authority of the exporting country (AQIS Australia) using the approved fumigates.

Kisah kambing, dorper dan Bebiri Merino
Shipment Bebiri Merino telah selamat sampai, dan kebanyakanya telah selamat di borong oleh peminat bebiri ada berbaki beberapa ekor sahaja di kandang BP Ramunia. Mudah-mudah akan langsai juga dalam masa yg terdekat.
Minggu depan saya akan ke Australia lagi untuk mencari kambing baka, kambing tenusu, feral (sembelihan) , baka Dorper dan juga berbiri Marino (sembelihan).
